I know I missed the first blog period, hopefully this one will make up for it.  It appears as though that the CUA campus has been taken hostage by the phenomenon that is "Antoine Dodson."  Long story short, someone tried breaking into his house and afterward he had some words to say to the news reporter and now it's become such a joke that people have taken the video and edited it to be this.  Personally, I think the original video is funnier than the remix, however, the small segments with the two kids that was edited into the second video are quite funny.  The videos themselves are not necessarily "New Media" but the response that follows the videos are.  The continuous outpouring of remixes made by fans, the facebook groups dedicated to these people.  Even media outlets even followed up the story of Antoine and his family, not because of the break in, but because of the youtube response.  This video's popularity reminds me of the Alabama Leprechaun that reached Youtube a few years back.  This leprechaun even warranted its own shirt here at Catholic last year during St. Patrick's Day.  Its videos like these that remind you how connected people are in today's age and all the tools that one has to make their own media.
